During the service a certified stylist performs live scalp imaging to identify visible issues, then a hair sample is sent to Naturheal for microscopic review. You receive a detailed report with findings, recommendations, and product or treatment options. Scalp assessment $64; hair analysis $100.
The in-salon scalp assessment typically lasts 20–30 minutes. If you opt for hair analysis, samples are sent to Naturheal and reviewed within 3–7 business days. We’ll schedule a follow-up consultation to explain results and next steps.
Microscopic Analysis identifies scalp conditions, shaft damage, follicle miniaturization, and signs of infection or inflammation that often contribute to hair loss. While it provides strong diagnostic clues and treatment direction, some cases require medical tests or physician referral for hormones or autoimmune causes.
Please arrive with dry, unstyled hair free of heavy sprays, gels, or oils for the most accurate scalp view. For the lab hair sample avoid coloring or chemical treatments for at least one week when possible. Notify your stylist of medications or recent procedures.
After lab review you'll receive a detailed report with images and a clear explanation during an in-person or virtual consultation. We provide a written care plan, product and treatment recommendations, and can schedule follow-ups or refer you to medical specialists if needed.
Microscopic Analysis is considered a cosmetic salon service and is generally not covered by insurance. Lab tests at Naturheal may sometimes qualify if ordered by a physician for medical diagnosis. We can provide documentation and receipts to assist with reimbursement requests.
